As part of our CSI efforts, SBS® has taken on a supportive role at the KwaCutshwayo School in Tshelinyama, near the SBS Holdings head office. Over several years this has involved the installation of a 220 kl water tank on site, various other activations including Mandela Day activities.
In November 2019 staff from SBS® visited the local primary school to deliver gifts with a difference to the children. Using pallet and packaging timber used in the transport process, SBS employees spent their lunch and tea breaks woodworking to build one-of-kind wooden cars, trains and other vehicles for the children in the on-site workshop. Each vehicle was then hand-painted with love and care, creating a unique and memorable gift that was joyfully received by the excited children.
