    Built to withstand extreme conditions

    Designed to suit a wide range of applications, mine water and liquid storage tanks from SBS Tanks are ideally suited to the harsh conditions on mine sites. SBS in-house engineers work with mine engineers to design and specify the best solution for closed circuit water systems, potable, process or wastewater storage.

    Rapid and safe installation

    Installed from the ground up, no heavy lifting equipment or scaffolding is required on site. Following construction of a simple ring beam or approved site compaction, installation of the modular, steel panel tanks from SBS Tanks can be done in matter of days. Commissioning takes place immediately for operational use.

    Fit for liquid storage:

    A wide range of liquids can be stored within the tank, in the internal PVC liner. By preventing contact between the liquid stored within the tank and the tank structure, the internal liquid storage liner offers further corrosion risk-reduction benefits, contribution to the expected tank lifespan of 65+ years.

    Engineer designed and approved

    Designed and developed by in-house engineers and certified by external engineering professionals, SBS Tanks can be used for mine site fire suppression water storage, bulk water storage, fresh, effluent wastewater or recycled process water storage as part of a closed circuit mine water system or desalination plant.

    Innovative modular design

    The modular steel panels used to construct water and liquid storage tanks from SBS Tanks are easy to transport using light delivery vehicles or carried to site by installation team members. SBS tanks can be dismantled, relocated or extended to increase storage capacity should site requirements or mine location change.

    Wide range of capacities:

    Over 500 size water storage tanks are available from SBS Tanks, with capacities from 12,000 litres (12m3) to up to 4.2 million litres (4,212m3). Installation or build flexibility is based on the site footprint, capacity requirements and location of the site.

    Fire water tanks for Kenyan Wine Agencies

    SBS Solutions East Africa Limited recently completed the successful installation of two bulk fire water tanks for Kenyan Wine Agencies (KWAL). The two  ST15/05 SBS Tanks from the Standard Tank Range stand at just over six metres tall and have a capacity of 516,000 litres each.
